Renovations come with tight access, awkward angles and live houses. We design scaffold around the constraints — protecting the home, the trades, and the program.
Renovation scaffolding: built for live houses and moving programs
Reno scaffold is the hardest type of residential work to get right. The block is usually tight, the home is occupied or partially occupied, gardens and decking need protecting, and the build evolves week to week as the design responds to what's behind the walls. A standard "wrap the perimeter" scaffold doesn't cut it.
We've delivered reno scaffold across some of the trickiest sites on the Sunshine Coast — Queenslander raises in Nambour and Eumundi, second-storey additions in Buderim and Mooloolaba, and full strip-and-rebuild jobs in Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach where neighbours are within arm's reach.
Renovation scaffold pricing (real ranges)
| Reno type | Indicative cost | Typical hire |
|---|---|---|
| Single-room extension | $2,200 – $4,500 | 6–10 weeks |
| Second-storey addition | $5,500 – $11,000 | 12–20 weeks |
| Queenslander raise & build-under | $7,500 – $15,000 | 16–28 weeks |
| Full home renovation | $8,000 – $18,000 | 20–40 weeks |
Modifications during the hire (extra lifts, repositioned bays, additional access stairs) are included — we don't nickel-and-dime mid-program.
What we protect on a live site
- Existing roof and gutters — standoff brackets, no fixings into Colorbond.
- Decks and pavers — sole boards and timber spreaders under every base plate.
- Gardens and irrigation — we walk the route with you before mobilisation.
- Pools — pool fencing reinstated to compliance before crew leave site.
- Neighbour fences — we engage the neighbour, never lean against the fence.
How we work with reno builders
The reno builders we partner with want one thing: a scaffolder who picks up the phone, turns up when scheduled, and adapts when the design changes. We run a single point of contact per job, share photos at every install and modification, and keep your homeowner informed so the project conversation stays between you and them.
"I've used four scaffolders across 11 years of renos. These guys are the only ones I've ever rebooked. They modify on demand, the kit is clean, and the homeowners always comment on how tidy the crew is."

Heritage and Queenslander considerations
Pre-1946 timber homes need a soft touch. We never fix into original timber, we use longer ledgers to clear bullnose verandahs, and we engineer base plates to bridge stumps where the underbuild is being opened up. If your project is in a character zone (Nambour, Yandina, parts of Caloundra), we'll factor heritage protection into the quote without you having to ask.
